Who let the dogs out? Well, cat’s out of the bag – it was gelato. Without provoking any potential zoomies, here’s the scoop…Bark around the block is that a certain NYC gelato spot, Bambina Blue, has pooch-friendly gelato. Guess you don’t need opposable thumbs to gain access to this mouthwatering treat.
The truth is that we actually know what dogs are thinking about when they stare into the abyss – their next treat. And unlike their humans, they don’t really mind what the weather is doing. Come rain or shine, treats always raise the woof.
Even better, they can have Bambina Blue’s four-legged-friendly gelato. A dog’s tummy is not the biggest fan of this human-frozen desert, even though their eyes might tell you otherwise (it’s a trap). Unable to digest all the sugar and dairy, their cute licks of pure pleasure might be short-lived.
And so, the council of canines gathered. The ruling? Not just doggie ice cream, nay, but the toothsome taste of dog gelato. Fear ran rampant across cities of a fur cuddles strike (gasp). This story is just fictitious of course, but not entirely impossible, so we gave in. Let no pooch in this town ever go without a smooth Bambina gelato scoop again – huzzah!
Anyway, back to the yummy specifics. Even though it doesn’t contain dairy, eggs, or sugar, we didn’t skip any creamy steps – pinky promise. Handmade in store with high-quality, fresh, and natural ingredients, Bambina Blue’s dog gelato instantly got the lick of approval. That’s just how this NYC gelateria rolls (or churns).
Did someone say we’re taking a walk? Oh, goodie! There’s loads to do as a New York City pup, that much is true. What city pooches lack in big backyards, they make up for in fun-filled, central activities.
No, really, grab the fam (paws included) and head to one of the many parks in the Lower Manhattan area for a walk and a frozen treat for everyone. Never mind that, word is that a little dose of culture can be had at a nearby New York art museum (or two) with an open door policy for your best pal. Even bars!
It seems that a New York moment is never far away when you’re exploring the city with your dog. But, the crème de la crème stop during your assorted adventures would definitely be gelato in NYC, made for humans and dogs. Even if you take a doggy bag (pun intended) with extra to freeze, that just means prolonged indulgence at home, and if that’s wrong, we don’t want to be right.
Either way, it’s a textbook #Instamoment, whether it’s the first lick or the last. Sidenote: does anyone smell a dogfluencer in the making?
We haven’t gone into all the pawsible delicious flavors yet. If we’re being honest, does your dog really mind? Well, Bambina Blue can’t help but take one giant step for gelato-kind, no matter which direction. We’re talking peanut butter, strawberry, banana, and so much more.
As far as the OG people pleaser tastes go, you should definitely dive into the Brown Butter & Salted Caramel Gelato or the sweet, classic sounds that leave your mouth while trying Don Vitto’s Pistachio Gelato. In case you weren’t already hooked, fresh pastries from our Nolita coffee shop also tend to really flake up your day, especially when ordering a sip of authentic Italian coffee on top of that (wink wink).
We’re pretty serious about furry safety, so this particular city pup gelato menu is 100% safe for dogs. Be sure to always keep a watchful eye over your fluffball whenever you introduce new things into their diet, though (ugh, allergies).
Is it even a thing to ask for a snap of your dog eating Bambina Blue’s gelato at this point? Always, use #BambinaPups. This melting yet magical message has been approved by canines across New York. Five out of five paws!
